Grid.ID - Kenshi Yonezu, penyanyi asal Jepang merilis lagu baru yang didapuk menjadi OST film baru Ghibli, The Boy and The Heron.
Kenshi Yonezu mengungkap bahwa ia terkejut diminta Hayao Miyazaki menulis lirik dan membuat lagu baru untuk film Ghibli ini.
Dikutip dari akun Twitter @hachi_08, Kenshi Yonezu menyebut bahwa sebelum membuat lirik untuk lagu baru The Boy and The Heron, ia diberi storyboard dari anime movie itu.
"Sekitar empat tahun lalu saya menerima tawaran itu. Pada awalnya, saya heran sekaligus bingung mengapa itu saya," tulis Kenshi Yonezu.
"Saya diberi storyboard berat yang berisi materi lima buku, Pak Miyazaki menjelaskan semuanya kepada saya, dan saya mulai menggubah musik dengan sangat gentar," sambungnya.
The Boy dan The Heron sendiri mengisahkan perjalanan seorang anak lelaki bernama Mahito Maki yang ditinggal meninggal ibunya.
Suatu hari bertemu dengan bangau yang bisa berbicara dan mengungkap tanda-tanda keberadaan sang ibu, petualangan Mahito mencari ibunya di dunia asing pun dimulai.
Lirik dalam lagu baru Kenshi Yonezu ini menggambarkan alur cerita film The Boy and The Heron yang menyentuh.
